FrontPage Extensions

Instead of using an FTP client to manage the files on your site you can use Microsoft FrontPage for the same goal. According to Microsoft's website FrontPage "provides the features, flexibility, and functionality to help you build better Web sites. It includes the professional design, authoring, data, and publishing tools needed to create dynamic and sophisticated Web sites."

Be warned that if you choose FrontPage to develop and manage your web then you should not use an FTP client or the Control Panel's File Manager to upload or manage your site. Also some Control Panel features (e.g. for protecting and redirecting folders) will be disabled. Fortunately you can use FrontPage's own security mechanisms to protect a subweb instead.

We recommend that you edit your web online, i.e. you choose File->Open Web->http://yourdomain.com instead of editing your web locally and trying to publish it to our server later.
