Changing Account Passwords

Click the "Change Pass" link in the "Accounts" group in the Control Panel home screen.

This screen will look different depending on whether you logged in with your customer password or package password. Your customer's password works with all packages you own and the package password for the currently active hosting package. For a detailed explanation of what a package and what a customer password is see this chapter.

Change Package Password Screen

If you logged on with your package password you will see a simple form to input a new password for the currently active package (mydomain.com in this example)

Enter the same password in the "Password:" and "Confirm Password:" fields, click the "SAVE" button and you're all set. Changes to passwords take effect immediately. Please note that this will only change the password for logging into your CP. If you've set up FrontPage extensions, FTP Accounts, Mailboxes, etc those passwords will not be affected and you need to update them separately.

Tip

If you forget or lose your new password you can contact our support service and they will reset your password for you.
